Every year we receive photos from our customers of their completed projects and we are thrilled! The best photos find their way into our web site, various magazine articles, and our brochure. To further encourage you, we have decided to have an annual photo contest.
 

First Prize: $250 Second Prize: $100 Third Prize: $75

Runners up: Any photos that we use in our brochure, in magazine advertising or articles, or on page in our web site dedicated your design and photographs exclusively, will be awarded $50.

Submissions: must be received by March 1st, 2008. Winners will be announced April 1st, 2008.

Tips on how to win:

• Remove as much clutter from the scene as possible. Particularly, make sure that nothing is covering the siding or other parts of the structure that will distract the viewer from the subject of your photography. "Lifestyle" shots with people and their activities are acceptable.
• Take multiple views and submit lots of pictures, don't send just one. Don't forget interior shots as well, particularly if your structure has a vaulted ceiling or loft.
• Make sure that the subject takes up about 2/3 of the frame. Also, standing back and using a telephoto lens introduces less distortion than a wide angle shot, which tends to "curve" the walls.
• Don't be afraid to use a flash to "fill in" dark areas under overhangs (especially if it is sunny out), just make sure that you angle the shot slightly from the windows so that you don't get a reflection from the flash.
• Finally, don't worry if have a great shot and there are some small problems with it. Our Photoshop expert is often able to correct minor problems and turn your shot into a winning entry!

Format: Digital images of high resolution are preferred. Please send them by email to . Remember when sending your pictures to limit the total size of each email to less than 5 Mb so that your internet service provider doesn't reject it. Don't worry about our mailbox though; it has a virtually unlimited size so you can send as many 5 Mb emails as you wish. If you have traditional media, like prints or slides, you can mail them to us at the address below. All submissions become the property of Cabana Village, LLC and will not be returned.

Eligibility: This contest is open to anyone that has purchased one of our structures, regardless of the year the structure was purchased. Previously submitted photos, or photos for which you have already agreed to be compensated (either with a cash payment or as a discount on the purchase price of the structure), are not eligible.
