Types of Plans
There are two types of plans, stock plans and custom plans. Stock plans have
standard door and window configurations, based on the picture or drawing shown
on the web site. Stock plans are less expensive and are, in most cases,
pre-prepared. After ordering, a link to the plans is sent via email. The plans
can then be downloaded, and are in PDF format, ready for printing.
Stock Plans
Stock plans are suitable for building a structure exactly as shown in the
picture or drawing. Structure interior wall heights are 88 1/2" for garden
sheds and pool cabanas under 200 sq. ft., and 94 1/2" for all cabins, as well
as garden sheds and pool cabanas over 200 sq. ft. In cases where the builder is
somewhat handy, they can make their own changes to window and door placements
and make the neccessary adjustments to wall framing and materials lists, and
save some money.
Stock plans may also useful to a homeowner in obtaining building permits from a
local permitting authority provided that the structure is going to built
substantially as shown in the plans. There is no guarantee that the plans will
be acceptable to any permitting authority, either in format or content. If your
permitting authority requires changes, you can upgrade to custom drawings by
paying the difference between the cost of standard drawing and custom drawings
(usually again as much as the cost of the standard drawings). However, if the
changes are deemed by us to be too difficult to make, we reserve the right to
cancel your order and return your entire payment in full. Please note the
additional recommendations shown in the section below entitled "Important".
Custom Plans
Custom plans are suitable for building a structure that has been customized in
design center. Structure interior wall heights, as well as door and window
placements, and option additions, will be as specified in the submitted design
center drawing. Elevations, floor plan, framing plans, material and cutting
lists will be adjusted to reflect the submitted design center drawing.
Custom plans are useful to a homeowner in obtaining building permits from a
local permitting authority. Usually a permitting authority will require that
floor plans and elevations correspond accurately to the proposed structure.
However, there is no guarantee that the plans will be acceptable to any
permitting authority, either in format or content. If a permitting authority
requires changes in format or content, these changes are available free of
additional charge if you have purchased, or upgraded to, custom plans. However,
if the changes are deemed by us to be too difficult to make, we reserve the
right to cancel your order and return your payment in full. Please note the
additional recommendations shown in the section below entitled "Important".
Ordering Plans
In either the pricing page or the design center just click on the "Order Plans"
button. You will be taken to a page where you can select stock or custom plans.
If you select stock plans, you will be sent a link to download the stock plan
for that structure, regardless of changes you have made in the design center.
If you select custom plans, you will receive an email communication confirming
your requirements based on your design. Once approved by you, custom plans will
be created for you, and a PDF copy of your plans will be emailed to you once
completed. Creation of custom plans takes 7 to 10 days. We reserve the right to
refuse the creation of custom plans if they are to difficult to create.

Important Information About Plans
Buildings constructed from Cabana Village plans are intended to conform to the
"Conventional Construction" provisions of the Uniform Building Code
(National Building Code in Canada) in place at the time the plans were created.
Geography and climate vary significantly throughout the United States and
Canada, so each state or province, county, and municipality has its own
building codes, zoning requirements, ordinances and building regulations. Plans
may need modification to comply with local requirements with respect to snow
loads, energy codes, soil and seismic conditions and a wide range of other
matters. In addition, you may need to obtain permits or inspections from local
government agencies before, during and after completion of construction. Please
consult a qualified architect or engineer, as well as your local building
officials, prior to starting any building project.
It is the sole responsibility of the builder to ensure that any structure
to be constructed using these plans is compliant with all applicable national,
regional and local code requirements in place at the time of construction, and
to verify all measurements given in the plans prior to construction.
